As promised in our previous Barr Brothers post, the Slip are not only prepping a new full-length album, but are also teaming up with Nathan Moore for another Surprise Me Mr. Davis release and tour.
On April 13, Moore, Marc Friedman, and the Barr brothers will drop their new 7-song EP, That Man Eats Morning For Breakfast. And to celebrate their second EP (third overall release), SMMD will kickoff a 14-gig jaunt on the release date at Boston’s Club Passim.
The new EP has a pretty funny backstory, actually: Moore and Friedman were planning to record at the Barrs’ Montreal studio, but were unable to cross the U.S./Canadian border. “We soon found ourselves back in Burlington, Vermont drinking in a bar,” said Moore, adding later, “So Brad and Andrew came down this way and we ended up recording there all week at Brett [Hughes]’s house.”
