Devendra Banhart’s last video, which featured cameos by the likes of GZA, MGMT’s Andrew VanWyngarden, and the Strokes’ Fabrizio Moretti, dropped only a month ago, but Banhart is back with another thought-provoking visual take on a song from his latest album, What Will We Be.
Watch above, as Isaiah Seret directs Banhart getting whipped, having his finger cut off, and being spooned by actor Joel Virgel (10,000 BC) to the tune of “Foolin’.”. It’s a bit bloody, sure, but we’re all desensitized by that HEALTH video now, right?
