Back in May, I mentioned founding Jayhawks member Mark Olson’s forthcoming solo album, Many Colored Kite, which features guest performances by 24B faves Vashti Bunyan, Jolie Holland, and Neal Casal. We’re still over a month away from hearing Olson’s LP in full, but streaming now is the Holland-featured track, “Little Bird of Freedom.” In short, Holland’s gorgeously-nuanced voice carries me through this transcendent ditty, earning Olson and co. a much-deserved spot on our “most-anticipated” list for the summer.
