A Lesson in Crime, Tokyo Police Club’s brilliant debut EP, might still be my favorite release from the Canadian indie rock quartet, but their new record, Champ, has been making a good run at the podium as of late. Back in May, I posted their single, “Breakneck Speed,” as well as four other new tunes, including Dave Monks and co.’s choice for the Late Show with David Letterman tonight (via the Audio Perv): “Wait Up (Boots of Danger).” They made their network television debut on Letterman’s show back in ‘07, were asked back a year later, and have returned yet again (Dave’s a fan, obvs).
