The A.V. Club’s “Undercover” series has returned for the holiday season with a slightly new formula: Rather than force bands to choose a cover from a diminishing list of iconic songs, they were allowed to pick any holiday-themed tune to perform for this round. (Presumably, the Santa hats were optional.) The first edition stars the Walkmen performing a fun, lighthearted take on Lindsey Buckingham’s 1983 single “Holiday Road,” a song you might recognize from the National Lampoon’s Vacation movies (via Prefix).
