Their solid cover of “Pale Blue Eyes” aside, we haven’t heard new recordings from The Kills ever since Alison Mosshart teamed up with Jack White, Dean Fertita, and Jack Lawrence to form the Dead Weather a couple years back. That’s about to change very shortly, though, as Mosshart and Jamie Hince posted the above photo late last night accompanied by this exciting caption:
Well hello friends. Happy new year to all of you! I write to you from Michigan on a snowy-ish evening. With Christmas and New Years festivities seemingly over, a flight early in the morning beckons and I have good news! The 4th Kills album is FINISHED! RECORDED+MIXED+MASTERED and all that jazz. Not a bad way to kick off the year, right? Hotel (Hince) and VV (Mosshart)’s next LP, which is reportedly due out within the year, is the follow-up to 2008’s Midnight Boom.
