Ken Stringfellow: Doesn’t It Remind You of Something

Ken Stringfellow Doesn't It Remind You of SomethingKen Stringfellow, of the Posies and Big Star, will release his first solo album in 8 years this October with Danzig in the Moonlight, a 14-track set recorded in Belgium and cut to vinyl at Abbey Road. At first, “Doesn’t It Remind You of Something” did bring a few old Brill Building duets to mind, but once the charismatic back-and-forth vocals with the Head and the Heart’s Charity Rose Thielen settle in, this understated tune blooms into something brand new. Orchestral textures from a Dutch string trio make for a nice touch in the second half, too. Hear the single streaming above, while more details and the tracklist can be found here.
