The latest round arrived today, and it’s the most musically interesting so far: Dinosaur Jr. reworked the cut from the ground up, stripping away synths and slick production into raw, indie-rock form. J Mascis’ trademark mumble sounds at home with the words, as does his ever-reliable guitar solo over their chords. Count me back in — as in, boiling over again with anticipation — for Phoenix LP5.
