This new Patty Griffin tune has been on repeat today, due in part to its rhythmic undercurrent (well put by Jeff Terich as “sustained, hypnotic momentum”). The cut — from Griffin’s upcoming American Kid LP — was bringing the acoustic side of Led Zeppelin to mind (“That’s The Way,” “Going to California,” etc.), when lo and behold: Robert Plant not only sings the harmonies, but also “came up with the tempo and the mood on it.” He’s her husband — a lovely musical marriage, it seems.
