Jocie Adams went the solo route briefly in 2011 and now the former Low Anthem singer/multi-instrumentalist is leading a band. Arc Iris haven’t shared studio tracks yet, but in the meantime, the Providence-based group filmed a one-off performance for the latest clip in an excellent series from Uganda charity non-profit The Voice Project. Interpreting Fiona Apple is a bold move in and of itself, particularly a cut like “Every Single Night,” but that’s what makes this worthy rendition a surprise (not to mention a fine introduction to Arc Iris): Adams & Co. have covered the seemingly uncoverable, in one live take no less.
