While not representative of the record as a whole, this is my favorite cut from the new Damien Jurado album, Brothers and Sisters of the Eternal Son. “Silver Timothy” might be a better intro to the vaguely conceptual set’s psych-rock wanderlust, a narrative of lost and found identity. But here, one track before the journey ends, Jurado finds a moment of sublime, solo-acoustic repose. Catch your breath with the intimate tune above and/or stream the sprawling set in full over here.
