Parts of that planned <em>Electric Ladyland<\/em>\u00a0follow-up,\u00a0<em>First Rays of the New Rising Sun<\/em>, were pieced together in 1997 for posthumous release, but now more recordings from 1968-1970 are set to surface in official form on <em>People, Hell and Angels<\/em>, due out next March with approval from his estate.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/news\/jimi-hendrixs-experimental-turn-on-people-hell-and-angels-art-premiere-20121120\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Rolling Stone<\/em>\u00a0premiered<\/a>\u00a0the album cover (left) this week.\u00a0Aside from that and the promise we&#8217;ll be hearing another side of the legend with 12 previously unreleased tracks in 2013, details are scant at the moment, but we&#8217;ll keep an ear to the ground for updates on what&#8217;s sure to be an intriguing listen at the very least.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jimi Hendrix experimented with a wide range of new sounds in his final years, plotting out a step away from the\u00a0Jimi Hendrix Experience lineup that would incorporate\u00a0horn parts, keys, and multiple guitars on his next record.
