Now that the Red Hot Chili Peppers have the cachet of being in the Rock Hall of Fame, the California alt-rock\/funk band have free reign (enough reverence for their heroes) to pay homage to fellow canonized rockers. In honor of their induction last week, Chad Smith, Anthony Kiedis, Flea, and Josh Klinghoffer are releasing a 6-track covers set, which includes renditions on songs by David Bowie, Neil Young, the Ramones, the Beach Boys, Iggy and the Stooges, and Dion.<\/p>\n
