\"TedAt first glance, a comedy starring\u00a0Mark Wahlberg and an animated stuffed bear doesn’t seem entirely appetizing. But add director and co-writer Seth MacFarlane (of Family Guy<\/em> fame) to the mix and you can rest assured one of the most unpredictable (and likely hilarious) films of the season is on the way with Ted<\/em>. What’s more, MacFarlane is an excellent singer in his own right, who’s not only applied his knack for melody to this month’s film foray, but also on television with the theme song to Family Guy<\/em>\u00a0and on\u00a0the show’s many musical numbers that were released as a\u00a0Live in Vegas<\/em> soundtrack. Longtime collaborator\u00a0Walter Murphy composed most of the music for Ted<\/em>, which also features songs by piano-pop songstress Norah Jones, a previously released cut from Queen, and an ’80s hit that is sure to bolster the comedic potential of at least one scene: Tiffany’s “I Think We\u2019re Alone Now.”<\/p>\n

MacFarlane himself provides the voice of the titular character, a talking teddy bear appropriately named Ted. <\/em>(This is a\u00a0relevant\u00a0detail given his proven vocal prowess channeling the likes of Frank Sinatra and other crooners in recent years.) Whether his team have landed a big summer comedy hit or not remains to be seen, but by the looks of the soundtrack titles alone, they’ll have one of the most unique sets of original music on the way at the very least.
