\"\"In addition to the film itself, one of the most anticipated elements for Wes Anderson’s forthcoming project, Moonrise Kingdom<\/em>, around here will be the live-action feature’s soundtrack. From his perfect usage of the Nico version of “These Days” in The Royal Tenenbaums<\/em> to the Kinks in The Darjeeling Limited<\/em>, Anderson films always seem to remind us of favorite cuts from the past while providing welcome fresh context for enduring material from the greats. In short, the guy simply has great taste for tunes. Now with a trailer and new details on our radar, hints for what we can expect on the Moonrise Kingdom<\/em> soundtrack abound.<\/p>\n

In addition to original compositions by Alexandre Desplat along with contributions from Anderson’s other past collaborator Mark Mothersbaugh, previously recorded and released tracks will include work by Leonard Bernstein, Benjamin Britten, Fran\u00e7oise Hardy, and the late, great country music pioneer Hank Williams.<\/p>\n

We’ve already heard at least one of the Hardy songs in January’s trailer — 1962 single “Le Temps De L\u2019amour” — while Britten’s piece “Cuckoo!” also arrived in the preview.<\/p>\n
