What’s he building in there? Fresh off a pair of late-night television gigs<\/a>, Tom Waits just might have more live engagements on the way for 2012. *Update: It’s an excellent new music video for “Hell Broke Luce.”<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n But — in keeping with the enigmatic nature we know and love from the man’s announcements — today’s news arrives in the form of cryptic teaser image and quote. Next week, Waits is set to announce… something<\/em>, per the awesome photo of him in pirate garb above. A title provides the only other clue, reading:<\/p>\n Permission to Come Aboard<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Given that he just recently assembled an all-star band for Fallon and Letterman appearances, the best guess among fans at this stage are new 2012 and\/or 2013 tour dates, but why the pirate\/nautical reference? Some have speculated Waits could partake in one of those live music cruises growing in popularity of late.
