Stripped down to core elements of rollicking electric guitar, drums, bass and lightly distressed vocals, &#8220;A Heart Like Mine&#8221; finds Yoakam doing what he does best: whipping up a handful of indelible melodies for a few radio-ready minutes of inspired craftsmanship. There are a few new elements of off-kilter production, perhaps thanks to Beck&#8217;s indie-rock influences, but this thing should be right at home among popular country scenes as well. In short, we might have a crossover hit on our hands.
