(Other than Tom Tykwer, few directors to take on such a feat spring to mind.)<\/p>\n<p>Starring Juno Temple, Kay Panabaker, Leslie Mann, and Kate Bosworth, the movie and soundtrack are out now &#8212; the former showing at select theaters and the latter available on iTunes. But if one more push to check out this promising project is needed (the fact that its credits include a producer from <em>Half Nelson<\/em> and <em>Blue Valentine<\/em> was enough for us), a stream of Merritt&#8217;s original\u00a0composition\u00a0for the Little Birds soundtrack can be heard today.
