Now with the tracklist in front of me it&#8217;s clear a promising set of upcoming voices will be sure to find fresh ears come November, when the Michael Mohan-directed indie rom-com hits theaters.<!--more--> While most of the names here aren&#8217;t household names just yet, many of them will be familiar to those of us with a keen eye on music blogs.<\/p>\n<p>Before we get to that, though, Wilco leads off the soundtrack with one of their most accessible cuts, <em>Yankee Hotel Foxtrot<\/em>&#8216;s, &#8220;Heavy Metal Drummer,&#8221; soon followed by disco veteran Giorgio Moroder&#8217;s &#8220;Baby Blue.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>One emerging song we&#8217;ve praised on these very pages, Nick Waterhouse&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.twentyfourbit.com\/2012\/05\/nick-waterhouse-some-place-video\/\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;Some Place,&#8221;<\/a> was also chosen for <em>Save the Date<\/em> while retro-soul singer Charles Bradley &#8212; who turned in one of our favorite <a href=\"http:\/\/news.twentyfourbit.com\/2011\/12\/24bs-favorite-cover-songs-of-2011\/\" target=\"_blank\">cover songs of 2011<\/a> &#8212; appears for &#8220;Lovin\u2019 You Baby.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In short, if the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=SLOruYionsA\" target=\"_blank\">trailer<\/a> and impressive list of songs below are any indication, this whole project will be incredibly charming &#8212; and possibly a 2012 favorite for fellow fans of indie romance flicks.
