Last January, Justin Townes Earle turned in such an amazing performance on David Letterman’s Late Show, that the TV host asked him to come back on the air following the segment. Now Earle has honored his wish, new album in tow, for yet another inspired live take. Promoting his fourth LP, Nothing’s Gonna Change the Way You Feel About Me Now, JTE belted out his ode to becoming “a better man,” the second cut off the record dubbed “Look the Other Way.” Once again, Letterman, the crowd, and yours truly were reminded that (a) the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree and (b) great alt-country is alive and well.
