While we already knew that Wilco are busy recording their follow-up to 2009’s Wilco (The Album) at their Chicago studio, a fun bit of news arrived moments ago via the band’s official Facebook page, confirming that LP8 is set to arrive within the year. Something tells me that a lot more than one person are about to “Like” this:
The first string of said “many, many concert dates” have been posted on their official site, as well as a collection of exciting HQ photos from the Loft, including the above shot of Jeff Tweedy laying down some vocal/solo acoustic tracks (click to enlarge) and Pat Sansone sporting an epic studio beard.
As previously reported, Wilco’s eighth album will be the first release for their new label, dBpm Records. Psyched for ‘11 yet?
