The Walkmen Unveil Lisbon Album Cover + Working Track Titles

As if I needed yet another reason to be on the edge of my seat for the new Walkmen record… Check out the gorgeous album cover art by Elizabeth Spiridakis above. Also, Stereogum posted a Progress Report from Hamilton Leithauser on Friday with some wonderfully unusual working track titles:

We have ‘Sports Ball,’ ‘Date Night,’ ‘Back Draft,’ ‘I Love Guys,’ ‘Glass Johnson,’ ‘Slow Blow,’ ‘Muscles,’ ‘Power Shuffle,’ ‘Storm Tracker,’ ‘Hairea,’ which is supposed to be an area that has hair on it, which is how Walt [Martin] describes it. ‘Eating Puppies,’ ‘Sotomayor,’ ‘Duck,’ ‘Little Friend,’ ‘CJ,’ which, unfortunately, is short for ‘circle jerker’, ‘Australia,’ ‘Internet,’ and ‘Jericho.’ And ‘Tree House.’

Lisbon is due out September 14 via Fat Possum.
