Back in September, Oasis released their new album Dig Out Your Soul by distributing sheet music to street musicians in New York City. Three of the band’s members, including Liam Gallagher, Andy Bell, and Gem Archer flew to the city to work with the musicians and a film crew covered the whole event.
Now the band has posted the video on their MySpace page in the form of an 18-minute documentary, directed by former White Stripes collaborators the Malloys. In the video, Liam, Andy, and Gem appear blown away by the capabilities of the NYC buskers and even comment on how the spirit of the project reminds them of growing up and buying sheet music when a new album sold out in stores.
