Regina Spektor Covers “My Man”

As Regina Spektor continues to work on songs for a forthcoming Broadway musical, one potential taste of her take on the genre arrives in the form of “My Man,” a song made famous by the 1968 musical Funny Girl, in which Barbra Streisand played Fanny Brice, who originally recorded the jazz tune in the early ’20s. While Spektor released an excellent a cappella version in 2005 for her Live at Bull Moose EP, now she’s recorded a full-band studio rendition for the soundtrack to prohibition-era drama Boardwalk Empire.
