As previously reported, Radiohead multi-instrumentalist Jonny Greenwood’s latest original film score — following 2007’s There Will Be Blood and this year’s adaptation of Haruki Murakami’s Norwegian Wood — is for director Lynne Ramsey’s feature-length take on lauded Lionel Shriver novel We Need to Talk About Kevin. Short scenes were teased earlier this year when the Tilda Swinton and Ezra Miller-starring thriller premiered at Cannes, but now an official trailer has arrived ahead of its fall release, complete with what might be a glimpse at the music. While it’s unclear if the upbeat portion of the trailer’s score is by Greenwood, a more menacing, dissonant composition sets in as the tone becomes darker at the 30-second mark that recalls bits of the aforementioned P.T.
