Bill Callahan and Hanly Banks have given Dream River the silent film treatment. An official video for the LP’s upbeat, falling-in-love tune “Small Plane” arrived today, complete with a cameo from Bill as an angry boss and a cute, old-timey love story for him to soundtrack. Unlike the lush backdrop of September’s garden take, this one is spliced with clips of Callahan performing in an empty black room while various plane imagery hints at the song’s central metaphor. It’s solid evidence that last year’s Apocalypse tour film was only the start of a great creative partnership between Callahan and Banks. Check it out above.
