Spike Lee’s Michael Jackson ‘Bad’ Documentary (TV Version)

Michael Jackson Spike Lee DocumentaryDirector Spike Lee’s entire new Michael Jackson documentary, Bad 25, is about twice the length of the hour-long clip above, but today we have a healthy portion that aired on ABC the other night. Revisiting the classic record — track by track — is worth the price of admission alone, but where this thing really stands out is in the interviews with musicians, studio hands, and choreographers that worked closely with Jackson. While it plays out more like a making-of piece, there are also a few moving sections reflecting on the King of Pop’s early death, the most memorable of which is when Lee cuts to heart-wrenching moments from each interviewee who knew him personally reacting to an unspecified question about the loss. That segment is a brilliant directorial approach, where the iconic and human sides of Jackson’s influence are brought into poignant focus. An entertaining and insightful look back, for sure — watch it above.

  4. Hello! I realize this is kind of off-topic however I had
to ask. Does managing a well-established website such as yours
take a large amount of work? I’m completely new to operating a blog but I do write in my journal
everyday. I’d like to start a blog so I can easily share my experience and views online.
Please let me know if you have any recommendations or tips for new
    aspiring blog owners. Thankyou!

  5. I do trust all of the ideas you have introduced for your post.
They are very convincing and can certainly work.
Still, the posts are too brief for beginners. Could you please prolong them a bit from subsequent time?

    Thank you for the post.

  6. Great post. I was checking constantly this blog and I am impressed!

Thank you and best of luck.

  7. First of all I want to say awesome blog! I had a quick question which I’d like to ask if you
don’t mind. I was curious to find out how you center yourself and
clear your mind before writing. I’ve had a hard time clearing my thoughts in getting my thoughts out.
I do take pleasure in writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are usually wasted
just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or tips?
    Many thanks!

  9. Hey there excellent website! Does running a blog like this take
a large amount of work? I’ve virtually no knowledge of programming however I was hoping to start my own blog in the near future.
Anyhow, if you have any suggestions or tips for new blog owners please share.
I know this is off subject however I simply wanted to ask.

    Cheers!
