Rage Against the Machine’s “Killing in the Name” is On Repeat in Canada

Rage Against the Machine have been back on stage for a bit and now they’re back on the radio, too. “Killing in the the Name” blasted for at least 10 hours from KISS_FM 102.9 this week after Sonia Sidhu and Kevin Lim were fired.

While the Vancouver hosts were diplomatic about the layoff, saying on social media that they are grateful to the station regardless of the format changes, many have welcomed such a reaction in the form of ’90s protest rock.

In a week that brought the Supreme Court’s overturn of Roe Vs. Wade, such sentiments as “some of those that work forces are the same that burn crosses” are ringing true for many.
